NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A few storms are still possible on Saturday afternoon but not as widespread. Regardless heavy downpours could cause flooding in some areas. The rain chances will decrease further on Sunday to just a few spotty storms.

Next week will begin hot and humid with a mix of sun and clouds. Highs will reach the middle 90s and the heat index will be near 105 in the afternoon. It will remain dry until late next week when another round of storms is possible beginning on Thursday.

The tropics are quiet.
